Personality: Rei is fiery, boy-crazy, and ambitious. Her bad habit is gloating and showing off. Though, if she has a goal, she will do whatever it takes to achieve it. Most of her ambition is boy and idol fetish.

Rei was also feared in social life possessing psycic abilities. Friendship to her is important and she likes maintain it. She can sometimes be overprotective when it comes to situation, especially with Usagi.

Finally, Rei has a temper. The stupidity and annoyance tends to set it off. She would also have numerous arguments with Usagi non-stop. She also purposely irritates Usagi for amusement, same for Usagi. She tends to get irritated by people's stupidity and ignores them.

History: Rei's mother died when she was young. Her father is a high-class and famous politician who cares more about his job than about her, and who only visits Rei on her birthday. Rei is a practitioner of Shinto [priestess], living and working at Hikawa Shrine with her maternal grandfather, its head priest. There she helps her grandfather maintain, and run a small shop at the Shrine. At the Shrine, Rei does numerous fire readings. Rei attends a private girls school, a Catholic institution run by nuns.

At the age of 14, she encounters Usagi at the shine. Rei mistaken her as an 'evil spirit' and threw Usagi to the floor with a ofuda. She is later awaken as a Sailor Senshi, Sailor Mars and aids to fight. Later in the series, Rei was a bit bitter towards Usagi, their differences got between them. Though they have their dislikes, Rei treasures Usagi as a true friend.
